Secura Hosting Ltd is a dynamic and progressive company which is at the leading edge of a technology sector that is growing at a phenomenal rate. The company is positioned for rapid growth within the Hosting and IT arena and are looking to recruit a Trainee Technical Support Engineer to become part of our industry leading Customer Care Team.

This opportunity will lead to a full Windows server based support role. Responsibilities include day to day problem investigation and resolution including root cause analysis. There will be opportunities to work on projects across multiple platforms. Successful candidates will undertake other tasks and projects as directed by the business in the pursuit of company objectives and to work closely with the senior management and company directors to identify business development opportunities.

Experience Required

Successful candidates are likely to have basic to intermediate IT experience but mainly excellent customer facing and communication skills.

Any basic knowledge or experience of the following would be an advantage but by no means essential:

Server Support. Operating Systems including, Windows Server 2000/2003/2008, Linux/FreeBSD, IIS, Apache, SQL Server or DNS. Networks, email and firewalls, JUNOS, BGP, ISIS, OSPF, MSTP, Active Directory, Exchange, ITIL. ASP/ASP.NET programming. Generally you should be able to assess and diagnose problems and be very keen to learn new technologies.

Our training package will ensure that you have the correct level of product, technical and customer service knowledge required to deliver the industry leading customer care our clients and internal departments expect.

Candidates will work with the Customer Relations and Sales teams to ensure that their product knowledge is complete and up to date so enquires are answered and in an effective and efficient manner in order to deliver 100% customer service and satisfaction to all existing and potential clients.

Key attributes associated with this role include being extremely self-motivated, hungry to succeed and for any internal career progression you must be credible at senior management level.
